Elliott would later appear at an Atomic Mass rehearsal and was subsequently offered the opportunity to front the band - a title he’s held prominently for 44 years. In a case of serendipity, Willis happened to cross paths with a singer named Joe Elliott - who had missed his bus and opted to walk home - on his way back from rehearsal.
